Pilates helps to strengthen your deep core muscles (your 'powerhouse') and improves your posture through the elimination of muscle imbalance. It can also help to ease back pain by mobilising the spine and stabilising your pelvis. The exercises are easy on your joints and also target other areas of the body such as shoulders, hips and knees. Additionally, Pilates helps improve coordination and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. Please note this class includes 15 min of Yoga-inspired deep stretch.
Suggested clothing/equipment: fitness attire, mat, exercise band (roughly 2 m) or a belt.
